Briana discovered her love for teaching at the age of 16 when she took on a role as a preschool teaching assistant. Over the years, she has taught preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade, with a special passion for early education. Combined, she has been in the classroom for more than 20 years. Outside of teaching, Briana enjoys traveling with her husband and their three children, cherishing the moments as they all explore their individual passions together.
Christine has always had a passion for working with children and knew she wanted to be a teacher from a young age. Her journey in education began in college teaching early childhood and working in a summer camp program. After graduating from college, she taught 4th grade for 8 years until she transitioned to preschool, where her heart truly lies. Outside the classroom, Christine loves exploring the outdoors, traveling, reading, and engaging in creative projects—all while enjoying family time with her husband and 3 kids. She believes every day is an adventure and we never stop learning!
Becoming Lil' Sprouts
From high school classmates to lifelong friends and passionate educators, we have always shared a common dream—to teach and make a positive impact on young minds. Our journey toward becoming educators began at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where we bonded over our shared commitment to shaping the future of education.
In 2015, as both of us were balancing district teaching positions with our growing families, we realized that we wanted to find a way to pursue our passion for teaching while also spending more time at home with our own children. We decided to take a leap of faith and opened Lil' Sprouts Kindergarten Prep, a part-time, in-home preschool. The school was founded on a shared vision: to help young learners develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in kindergarten, while fostering a love for education early on.
With the opening of Lil' Sprouts, we were able to bring our vision to life—introducing children to the joys of learning in a nurturing and supportive environment. Our passion for teaching continues to drive us as we work with families to create a strong educational foundation for every child we serve.
In 2020, we recognized the increasing need for resources that families could use to support their children’s learning at home. In response, we began creating online printables, monthly learning packets, and instructional YouTube videos—providing valuable, accessible tools for parents and caregivers. These resources quickly became an integral part of the Lil' Sprouts community, allowing families to engage in meaningful educational activities at their own pace. We're excited to share these materials with all of you!
